Garden Fresh

Today I dressed up , I walked into my garden with heels on and I took my own shopping bag too I shopped beautiful buttery avocados and I didn’t pay a cent for them. I can’t explain to you all how incredibly proud I am of my self. This lockdown has made me appreciate the simplest things and I doubt I will take anything for granted again. We always knew that fruit grew on trees (obviously) but to be able to walk into your own garden and collect a bag full of fruit that will nourish your family for a week ...It just makes you appreciate these takeaways from nature even more, especially during a time when we are unable to just jump into our cars and head down to the grocery store. .
If you do one thing during this period, please plant a tree or even better, start a garden and grow your own fruit and vegetables. I have my kids actively involved and we spend a lot of our time gardening and nurturing our little plants. It’s all so fascinating and educational for kids at the same time. We are not able to go out there and physically help people during this time but we can plant trees and help our future generations. I honestly believe that once we all pledge to take care of the environment, the animals and our oceans - Mother Nature will be proud of us and viruses like these can be prevented. It’s a vicious karmic cycle and while earth reboots, it gives us time to think about our actions and the repercussions. As you sow, so shall you reap... let’s heal the world. Literally!
