What is an Intraceuticals Oxygen Facial?

Skin Solutions by Dr Naidoo in Umhlanga

You may have heard about the trending Oxygen Facial but I am here to tell you to prepare to worship this procedure! It was once reserved for celebrities only…thankfully, us mere mortals can now indulge…

Last week I was fortunate enough to be offered an opportunity to treat my skin at Skin Solutions. The clinic is a private and small space that is rather tastefully decorated in the heart of Umhlanga. I was welcomed by resident Skin Expert, Dr Naidoo who heads this professional practice.

We discussed my skin issues on the couch over a cup of freshly brewed coffee. Dr Naidoo is passionate and it shows. I was very impressed to hear that there will be no therapist – The skilled doctor will be doing the treatment personally. Dr Naidoo is very hands on and I appreciated that she welcomed my questions with a warm smile. It wasn’t long before a plan was devised and she was eager to get started.

My main concern was dull, dehydrated skin. All the sleepless nights… and all the jetlag….I can now see the effects on my skin. I totally understand why models always say drink water and get enough sleep. It makes sense.

Dr Naidoo suggested I have an Intraceuticals Oxygen Facial. She promised results fast. That was exactly what I like to hear because I hate wasting time on treatments that need more treatments to see results (If you know what I mean?)

An oxygen facial is a non-medical procedure that employs a machine to introduce oxygen directly to the skins’ surface and pores. Intraceuticals is a pioneer in skincare and they specialize in this type of facial technology

The Procedure

An Intraceuticals Oxygen Facial begins like a regular facial: my skin was gently cleansed to remove excess dirt and oils, no extractions were done and basically, my skin was prepped for what was to follow.

The next step in the facial is the oxygen serum application. A little silver device that looks like an airbrush for make up was used –  This is the Intraceuticals machine that supplies oxygen under light, hyperbaric pressure to the skin. (It does feel like my skin is getting pressure cleaned)

Remember that this treatment harnesses three important elements to achieve instant and dramatic results.

  1. Oxygen under light pressure aids delivery of age defying ingredients to the skin. Its very cooling and calming to the skin. Oxygen is also antibacterial and will clean out your pores nicely
  2. Hyaluronic Acid and a powerful combination of vitamins and antioxidants were then deeply delivered into my skin. I felt my skin instantly plump up and the hydration felt amazing.

3. Essential layers are then applied to seal in and supplement skin nutrients for a maximum synergistic effect and longer lasting results.

This treatment does not hurt at all. You will feel a slight tickle and a cooling mist over your skin. Dr Naidoo also treated my lip area as my lips get very dry – the area instantly plumped up like magic!

The Hyaluronic Acid is responsible for the quick hydration which resulted in increased firmness and a reduced appearance of fine line and wrinkles. To my surprise, even the dark circles under my eyes looked a whole lot lighter. I was told that this intensive hydration is what gives you an instant radiant glow, and Dr Naidoo explained that my skin will look better as the days go by.

I could not wait to look in the mirror, I just used my phone! I could really get used to this glow

The Verdict:

I was really impressed with this procedure – the oxygen is the vehicle in the form of a cooling mist spray that pushes the serum deep into your skin. The whole science behind this treatment is rather interesting.

I was already sold by this point. My skin looked polished! The glow was unreal. It was like a natural highlighter. My skin texture was super soft and dewy. Later that evening my make up went on so beautifully – without any trace of primer.

All in all – This was a beautiful experience. I rate this treatment a full 5 stars and I plan to have a monthly oxygen facial added to my skincare routine.

The Intraceuticals Oxygen Facial is priced at R1500 from Dr Naidoo Skin Solutions based at Suite 5/6 Mayfair on the Lake, 5 Park Lane @The Cosmetic & Dental Emporium – Umhlanga Rocks – Kwa Zulu Natal – Contact 084 511 1487

I’m also interested in this topic and have recently started my journey as young entrepreneur.

I’m also looking for the ways on how to promote my website. I have tried AdSense and Facebok Ads, however it is getting very expensive. Was thinking about starting using analytics. Do you recommend it?
Can you recommend something what works best for you?

I also want to improve SEO of my website. Would appreciate, if you can have a quick look at my website and give me an advice what I should improve: http://janzac.com/
(Recently I have added a new page about FutureNet and the way how users can make money on this social networking portal.)

I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂

Hope to hear from you soon.

Maybe I will add link to your website on my website and you will add link to my website on your website? It will improve SEO of our websites, right? What do you think?
